Hi! I’m Angela Rae, a family photographer based in Lake Norman, North Carolina, serving Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, and beyond. I believe in slowing down, soaking in life’s beautiful chaos, and turning those fleeting family moments into timeless images you’ll cherish forever.

Photography has been a part of my story since the late 1980s, when I picked up my first camera. After raising my two incredible sons and gaining two wonderful bonus daughters, becoming “Mimi” to a growing crew of grandbabies, and retiring from my work as a librarian, I returned to this dream with full heart. Now I get to serve other families — preserving your memories while celebrating mine.

As an Enneagram 6, I’m all about thoughtfulness and reassurance — which spills into every session I shoot. My clients often tell me how relaxed and seen they feel when working with me. That’s the goal: photos that feel like you, without pressure or perfection.

Family is everything to me.

I’m married to my best friend, Todd, and we share a quiet empty-nest life with our cocker spaniel, Sailor. On weekends, you’ll find us fishing or floating on Lake Norman, cooking something delicious, or just soaking in the joy of being with the people we love.
